What is the coaching process?
The process involves many aspects. Initially, the assessment and the client’s chosen goals are used to establish a working process. The coach also listens carefully for unresolved issues that the client may or may not be aware of, and then works through these with the client. The coach and client then discuss specific action items, and the coach provides out-of-session review materials. During the time between coaching sessions, the client has the responsibility for working through the materials and exploring techniques discussed during coaching.

Because all the material is tuned to your needs, your coach is helping you anticipate issues and quickly develop solutions to situations at work. Product Managers, in particular, face both technical skill issues and difficult work environments. Your coach guides you through the emphasis that needs to be placed on each of these in real time while proposing additional learning materials to give you better skills the next time around.
How often do coaching sessions occur?
Coaching sessions are held every two weeks at a mutually agreed-on time between the coach and the client. Coaches are very flexible in meeting with clients, no matter what time zone they are in.
Who is my coach?
You are initially paired with the most appropriate coach based on your specific needs. Typically, this initial relationship works very well.
Can I choose my coach?
In the initial phase, you are assigned a coach. If, however, the coaching relationship doesn’t work for you, then you will be offered an alternative after discussion with a 280 Group representative.
What times are available for coaching?
Coaching sessions are set at a mutually agreed time with the coach. Coaches are very flexible in meeting with clients, no matter what time zone they are in.
How long is each coaching session?
Each coaching session is a half-hour. After this time, the coach continues the work and delivers specific notes with the ‘homework’ to be discussed during the next session.
Will they call me?
Typically clients call in to the coach. Phone calls or Skype are both possibilities for coaching sessions.
Once I sign up, how do I schedule?
Once your order is received, your coach will email you to discuss a first meeting on the phone. Future sessions are determined by mutual agreement with your coach.
- Cancellations must be received in writing.
- A pro-rated credit will be issued to you for any unused coaching sessions less the cost of the assessment.
How do I reschedule?
Each coaching session is scheduled at the end of the previous one. If you need to reschedule, you are responsible for rescheduling via email at least 24 hours prior to the start of the next coaching session. If you do not cancel within 24 hours and miss your session, you will lose credit for that session.
Can I purchase them in bulk? Is there a discount?
Discounts are available for clients who make a commitment of six months or more. Details are on the coaching page. If you have any further questions, please contact us for details.
Can I split the coaching between my team members?
Coaching is an individual relationship that builds over time. Therefor, each coaching client goes through a particular sequence of learning depending on his or her particular needs. If you have several members who are interested in a coaching relationship, please contact us for particular offers that may be available. These are highly dependent on the number of people and the time period that they will to commit to the coaching program.
Discounts are available for clients who make a commitment of six months or more, or for customers with multiple coaching clients who sign up as part of a larger program of coaching and assessment. Please contact us for details.
Is there a payment plan?
The 280 Group does not offer payment plans.
